Recently, Entergy New Orlean conducted our annual regional Metro Storm Drill, a comprehensive preparedness exercise designed to enhance coordination, improve operational response and reinforce safety protocols ahead of severe weather events.

Entergy Arkansas is strengthening its partnerships with local emergency responders through a new First Responders Appreciation and Education Initiative, designed to enhance collaboration while delivering critical electrical safety training.

When disasters strike, coordination between utilities and emergency leaders are critical to rapid recovery. To strengthen preparedness across Southeast Texas, Entergy Texas hosted state and local emergency management leaders — including members of the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), the Texas Military Department and Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) — at its Montgomery County Power Station for a day of collaboration and relationship building.

Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, located in Port Gibson, Mississippi, is the largest single-unit nuclear power plant in the United States. For 40 years, this facility continues to power nearly one million homes across the region with approximately 1,500 megawatts of electricity.

The majority of our customers impacted by the winter weather that brought snow, ice and below freezing temperatures to parts of our service area have been restored. As of 6:15 a.m., approximately 12,530 Entergy customers in the hardest-hit areas of Louisiana and Mississippi are without power. Our crews will continue working to restore service until the last light is on.
