A round of thunderstorms with high winds, lightning, and a reported tornado moved through the Entergy Mississippi service territory last night and this morning resulting in customer outages. As of 10:30 a.m., approximately 6,400 customers are without power.

Entergy New Orleans and the Downtown Development District (DDD), in partnership with the City of New Orleans, Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.), and BioDistrict New Orleans recently announced the official completion of three major improvement projects across Downtown New Orleans.

Colder temperatures have arrived, with even more frigid weather expected in the coming weeks and months. Even in places where extremely cold temperatures are not persistent, it's still important to be prepared for freezing and inclement weather. As we know, cold snaps can happen without much warning.
