South Louisiana is starting to feel the impacts of Tropical Storm Barry. The storm is expected to make landfall on Saturday as a Category 1 hurricane. The greatest threat from Barry remains significant flooding over parts of southern Louisiana. We are prepared to respond to widespread outages from this weather system, which is currently forecast to bring strong winds, heavy rains, higher tides and coastal flooding to the state.

Entergy’s team came out strong for the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic, with 132 employees and family members from around southeastern Louisiana participating in the 41st annual event on Saturday, April 20 in New Orleans.

Entergy New Orleans is coordinating its second annual The Power to Care Golf Tournament on Monday, May 13 at City Park’s Bayou Oaks South Course. Presented this year by Burns & McDonnell, the tournament will be hosted by the New Orleans Council on Aging, which administers The Power to Care program in Orleans Parish.
Energy Smart is a local energy-efficiency program that helps New Orleans electric customers save energy and money. Through the program, which was developed by the New Orleans City Council and is administered by Entergy New Orleans, residential customers can get free home-energy assessments and valuable rebates on a variety of upgrades.
The innovative educational program that debuted at Hamilton on Broadway continued in New Orleans on March 29, when more than 2,600 students and teachers from 41 high schools attended a matinee performance of the musical at the Saenger Theatre. The Hamilton producers made tickets for this educational partnership available for $70, $60 of which was subsidized in part by a grant from Entergy Corporation.

As the 2019 tax season gets underway, Entergy New Orleans is partnering with United Way of Southeast Louisiana and Total Community Action, Inc. again this year to provide free tax preparation on Super Tax Day.
