This work is focused on strengthening the underground electric system by replacing critical equipment that will help improve reliability and reduce the likelihood of future outages.

What’s happening

Crews are replacing underground transformers and electrical elbows that are critical components of the area’s electric distribution system. These upgrades are part of Entergy New Orleans’ ongoing commitment to delivering more reliable service for customers in New Orleans East.

Current progress

Work continues to advance as additional resources are deployed to the area.
