Entergy is partnering with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Fulcrum Air to deploy bird flight diverters on transmission lines across Louisiana, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to protecting the endangered whooping cranes while improving reliability for our customers. 

Entergy New Orleans’ leadership team today came before the New Orleans City Council to provide updates on three key priorities: ongoing reliability improvements in the North Kenilworth neighborhood of New Orleans East, the operation and maintenance of the underground electric system in the French Quarter, and the company’s preparedness for the 2026 hurricane season as Tropical Storm Bertha moves through the Gulf of Mexico.

We know your neighborhood has recently had frequent power outages. We are sorry. You deserve better and we’re going to do better. We are addressing these outage issues on multiple fronts, with an immediate plan and a longer-term plan. Both are underway and will lead to improved electric reliability for your neighborhood.

Funding from the state’s Texas Energy Fund will help provide stronger service reliability at no additional cost to customers
