Entergy New Orleans has partnered with Rebuilding Together New Orleans to help residents stay safe and cool during the summer months. The first event in the “Beat the Heat” series was held in District A, where 14 Entergy employees volunteered their time to support a local homeowner with critical home improvements.
Volunteers helped weatherize the home by caulking windows and doors and installing Hardie board siding. These upgrades are designed to help reduce energy consumption and lower monthly electricity costs.
“Through this collaboration, we are doing more than just home repairs—we are providing peace of mind and strengthening our connection to the communities we serve,” said Stephanie Willis, director of public affairs at Entergy New Orleans. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to improving lives and building a stronger, more resilient city.”
Rebuilding Together New Orleans works to advance health equity by addressing the intersection of housing and health in underserved communities. Through strategic home repairs and revitalization efforts, the organization aims to foster long-term neighborhood stability and improved quality of life.
Moving forward in our shared mission to ensure residents have safe, energy-efficient homes, we will be partnering with Rebuilding Together New Orleans to host a Beat the Heat home repair event in each City Council district.
At Entergy, we believe every person deserves a safe and healthy home. We remain dedicated to uplifting the communities we serve through collaboration and public service.
