This summer, community partners across Entergy Mississippi’s service area are giving away fans, water and other items to help customers stay cool as the summer heats up, funded by $27,500 in Beat the Heat grants the company awarded recently to several organizations.

Loyola University New Orleans recently made a series of energy efficiency improvements that reduced campus electricity consumption by approximately 22% and generated an estimated $700,000 in annual electricity cost savings.

Entergy New Orleans’ leadership team today came before the New Orleans City Council to provide updates on three key priorities: ongoing reliability improvements in the North Kenilworth neighborhood of New Orleans East, the operation and maintenance of the underground electric system in the French Quarter, and the company’s preparedness for the 2026 hurricane season as Tropical Storm Bertha moves through the Gulf of Mexico.
