Entergy New Orleans brought together business and community partners for a day of golf and giving at its annual Power to Care Golf Tournament. The event raised a record $175,000 to help seniors and customers with disabilities facing financial hardship.
Proceeds from the tournament support The Power to Care, a charitable program administered locally by the New Orleans Council on Aging. The program provides eligible seniors and individuals with disabilities with assistance for utility bills.
“Our annual Power to Care Golf Tournament demonstrates the impact of community partnerships,” said Deanna Rodriguez, president and CEO at Entergy New Orleans. “We are grateful to all of the sponsors and generous donors whose support enables us to provide critical assistance to our community’s most vulnerable residents.”
This year’s fundraising total surpassed the approximately $145,000 raised during the 2025 tournament, which also generated $8,000 in in-kind donations. The continued growth reflects the dedication of local businesses and partners to supporting customers in need.
In 2025, The Power to Care program provided $353,000 in utility bill assistance to 1,443 Entergy New Orleans customers through its partnership with the New Orleans Council on Aging. Since 2008, the program has raised more than $50 million and assisted over 250,000 people across Entergy’s service territory. Entergy shareholders further amplify the impact by matching all contributions up to $1 million annually.
The tournament’s success was made possible through the generous support of presenting sponsor United Utility, along with Amphical, BETA, Utility Power, MC Storm, Enercon, Honeywell and numerous other corporate sponsors, community partners and volunteers.
We extend our appreciation to all participating sponsors, partners and volunteers whose contributions made the event possible. Through our The Power to Care program, Entergy New Orleans continues to strengthen community partnerships and provide critical assistance to customers who need it most.

Additional Customer Assistance Programs
For customers seeking help with their bills, Entergy offers a range of resources through its Bill Toolkit. The toolkit provides an overview of payment options—such as Level Billing and Pick-A-Date—along with information on customer assistance programs and ways to manage energy usage.
Customers can also save energy and money through the Energy Smart program, which offers incentives for installing energy-efficient upgrades such as LED bulbs, smart thermostats, AC tune-ups, duct sealing, and insulation. In addition, customers can schedule a free in-home energy assessment to identify opportunities to lower their energy use and costs.
Together, these initiatives reflect Entergy New Orleans’ ongoing commitment to powering life for all customers both on and off the course.
