Meet Tiedra Lewis, manager of planning and project management in the system planning and operations organization, based in The Woodlands, Texas.
Lewis hails from Jackson, Louisiana, where she maintains strong family ties. Her adolescence was spent in Zachary, Louisiana where she graduated from Zachary High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans and later completed her master’s degree in business administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is also licensed as a certified public accountant.
She began her journey at the company in the spring of 2006, starting as an intern in the finance operations center in accounts payable in Hammond, Louisiana. Shortly after graduation she accepted a full-time position in accounts payable later that same year. In the fall of 2008, she was promoted to accountant II in source systems accounting. Two years later she pivoted to operations and took a role as a planner and scheduler for the Baton Rouge relay group.

In 2014, Lewis accepted a role at Entergy Texas, as a financial analyst III where she continued to excel in various roles from 2014 to 2022 including lead financial analyst, senior lead financial analyst and manager of finance business partners. In 2022, she returned to operations as a project manager for the system planning and operations organization.
In 2025, Lewis was promoted into her current role as manager of planning and project management. In this role, she oversees multiple project managers for the advanced economic planning group in the system planning and operations organization. Guided by a commitment to advancing energy solutions to serve Entergy’s key stakeholders, Lewis and her team’s primary goal is to help our operating companies solicit generation and storage resources to help capture customer growth opportunities and fulfill business plan resource needs. This work happens by administering requests for proposals where outside companies, and Entergy’s internal power development organization, submit asset or contract proposals for energy and capacity resources. The team actively partners with internal teams including advanced network planning, commercial origination, power development, accounting, transmission, regulatory and other teams to evaluate proposals, obtain internal approvals and close on transactions.
“I would say the biggest factor in my success in my current role was the knowledge I gained in the diverse set of roles that I’ve previously held. Each role, from accounts payable to project management, has provided new perspectives and skillsets, allowing me to build upon prior experiences and deepen my understanding of Entergy and its customers. Through this progression, I’ve become a subject matter expert in regulated utility operations, leveraging insights from finance, planning and compliance to drive impactful solutions that meet Entergy’s supply plan needs and support the company’s mission,” said Lewis.
One of Lewis’ most memorable accomplishments was leading the inaugural Finance Innovation Tournament sponsored by Drew Marsh, who was the chief financial officer at the time. “The tournament was an excellent way to gain exposure and get insights from executive leadership.” This tournament was held during a period where continuous improvement and work automation were beginning to be explored companywide.
When asked about her favorite part of working at Entergy, Lewis points to the always-learning culture and the team that she works with. “One thing that I enjoy most about the company is that I get to work on and make contributions to so many different projects. This means that there is always something new to challenge me and push me to new heights, while also being able to work with amazing people whose work ethic and talent inspire me daily.”
When she isn’t tackling projects in the office, Lewis and her husband enjoy supporting their two kids in scholastic and sports endeavors. Some fun facts about Lewis are that she enjoys spending time in nature, going on hiking trips and facing her fears head on—once taking a flight by herself to Seoul, South Korea to face her fear of flying.
