BATON ROUGE, La. – Entergy Louisiana has been named Large Company of the Year at the inaugural Louisiana Energy Awards, hosted by 10/12 Industry Report, to celebrate organizations and leaders driving innovation, growth and progress in the state’s energy industry.

Entergy Louisiana received the honor for its continued investments in modernizing the electric grid, supporting the state’s growing economy, reducing carbon emissions and advancing technologies that will power Louisiana’s future. The company was selected among a competitive field of utility and industrial leaders.

“We are proud to be recognized as Large Company of the Year, and even more proud of what this award represents,” said Phillip May, president and CEO of Entergy Louisiana. “It’s a testament to the thousands of employees who are dedicated to serving our customers safely, reliably and affordably every day – and who are working tirelessly to make Louisiana stronger, more resilient and more competitive.”

Entergy Louisiana powers more than 1.1 million electric customers across 58 parishes. The company continues to implement its Louisiana 100 plan, a long-term initiative focused on affordability, resilience, economic development and community investment.

Entergy is a nationally recognized leader in sustainability and corporate citizenship, delivering more than $100 million in local economic benefits each year through philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy.

In April 2024, the company launched a comprehensive five-year grid resilience plan approved by the Louisiana Public Service Commission. The initiative encompasses more than 2,100 projects aimed at reinforcing approximately 69,000 transmission and distribution structures statewide.

Entergy Louisiana has also been proactive in expanding its renewable energy portfolio. In 2024, the company filed a request with the Louisiana Public Service Commission to add up to three gigawatts of solar power to its generation portfolio, marking the largest renewable power expansion request in the state’s history.

As part of Entergy’s ongoing support for economic development in the state, the event also recognized Meta as Deal of the Year for the company’s transformational investment in a new AI-driven data center in Richland Parish. Entergy worked closely with Meta and state leaders to help enable the project’s success.

“This is an exciting moment for our state,” May added. “From traditional energy to technology and advanced manufacturing, Louisiana is positioned for tremendous growth – and we look forward to continuing our role in helping unlock opportunity for our communities.”

The Louisiana Energy Awards were created to honor companies and individuals advancing the state’s energy landscape while contributing to job creation and economic vitality.
