JACKSON, Miss. – Entergy Mississippi has named new faces to the company’s governmental affairs and customer service teams. Candace Coleman and DeLana Jones will support the teams’ stakeholder engagement in Entergy Mississippi’s service area. Coleman will serve as governmental affairs executive, working with legislative and administrative officials in Mississippi on issues that impact Entergy Mississippi’s customers and business objectives. Jones will serve as manager, region customer service, leading the team of customer service managers supporting communities in and around Jackson, Rankin County, Vicksburg, Clinton, Brookhaven and Natchez.

Coleman previously served as senior communications specialist, joining the company in 2023. She supported strategic external communications, including traditional media relations, social media, and public relations. Prior to joining Entergy, she led strategic campaigns on legislative issues for a civil rights non-profit organization and worked as a broadcast journalist at WJTV.

Coleman holds a master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications from Mississippi College and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi. She was named to Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 this year and is active in community and professional organizations, including serving as Vice President of the Mississippi Chapter of American Association of Blacks in Energy.

Jones joined Entergy in 2015 as a substation operations intern and joined the company full-time in 2016 as an IT Specialist. She further gained experience in power delivery asset management in 2020 before joining the resource planning group in 2022. Most recently, she served as a senior engineer, leading Entergy Mississippi’s solar net metering team and collaborating with customer renewable energy opportunities. She has also played a key role on Entergy’s storm logistics team.

Jones is a graduate of Jackson State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, and Belhaven University where she received her MBA and professional certification in project management. Jones’ is currently a participant in Mississippi Economic Council’s Leadership Mississippi program, and her community involvement includes the JSU Scholars Mentorship Program, Mississippi Chapter of American Association of Blacks in Energy, Stewpot Community Center and Junior League of Jackson.
