Entergy Provides Generators to NORD for Cooling Centers
One of the most challenging things about Hurricane season is that it is brings high temperatures and humidity. At Entergy, safety is a core value for our employees and our customers, which is why we have partnered with New Orleans Recreational Development to provide generators to its facilities for residents to cool off, hydrate and charge their phones, while our crews continue to restore power in the greater New Orleans area.

Entergy issues available estimated restoration times for Louisiana customers affected by Ida
Five days after Ida made landfall, Entergy has restored 225,000 of the nearly 950,000 customers who lost power due to the storm, with estimated restoration times now available for most Louisiana customers. Preliminary estimated times of restoration for customers in affected areas by network were released this morning and can be found at entergy.com/hurricaneida/etr.

Entergy Mississippi Storm Update – 9/3/21 @ 10 a.m.
Entergy Mississippi crews have made significant progress restoring power after two severe weather systems struck our service area earlier this week. As of 7 a.m., about 4,000 customers remain without power, down from a peak of about 46,000. Approximately 3,500 of those outages are from Hurricane Ida and the remaining 500 are related to Wednesday’s thunderstorms.

Entergy Mississippi Storm Update – 9/2/21 @ 10 a.m.
Thunderstorms rolled through the state on Wednesday, causing additional widespread outages for customers in Entergy Mississippi’s service territory from Holmes and Attala counties down to the I-20 corridor. As of 7 a.m., about 19,500 customers are without power. Approximately 12,000 of those outages are due to yesterday’s severe weather and the remaining 7,500 are associated with Hurricane Ida.

Crews continue to make substantial restoration progress following Hurricane Ida’s destructive path through southeast Louisiana and Mississippi. On day three of assessing damage and restoration work following Ida’s landfall, Entergy has restored nearly 107,800 customers.

Entergy Mississippi Storm Update – 8/29/21 @ 2:30 p.m.
As Hurricane Ida pushes into our service area, we are prepared for the significant threat of high winds and flash flooding. A prolonged period of high winds and heavy rain increases the potential for extended power outages. We expect the restoration effort to take several days and up to a week or more in our hardest hit areas.
