As we work to rebuild the distribution system damaged by Hurricane Laura, many factors go into restoring the more than 8,400 damaged distribution poles in Louisiana. Below are common items that impact restoration timelines. Areas with additional damage to the conductors located on poles, require additional time to repair like many cases in southwest Louisiana where more than 6,600 poles have already been replaced.
