Winter weather system has arrived in Entergy Mississippi’s service area, bringing snow and ice to some of the communities we serve. We are monitoring these evolving weather conditions, including extremely cold temperatures and hazardous road conditions. Our crews are staying safe and ready to respond as soon as the weather improves.

Winter weather has arrived across our service area, bringing snow, ice and freezing rain. Forecasts call for below-freezing temperatures to last for several days into early next week, with more than a half-inch of ice possible in some areas.

As winter weather is expected to impact our region, Entergy continues to take proactive steps to support customer safety and system reliability. We have secured approximately 750 additional resources and are actively preparing our teams and infrastructure to respond quickly to potential impacts.

Entergy Mississippi is ready for winter weather, urges customers to prepare

Entergy Mississippi is monitoring winter weather, including freezing temperatures and potential for ice, that could affect parts of the company’s service territory this weekend. While exact impacts of a potential winter storm are difficult to predict, our teams are prepared to respond, and we encourage our customers to prepare, too.
