BATON ROUGE, La. — Entergy Louisiana has named Nyka Scott as vice president of customer service, effective Nov. 23. Scott currently serves as vice president of customer service and economic development for Entergy New Orleans and will assume her new role following the recent appointment of Michelle Bourg as vice president of economic development for Entergy Louisiana.
“Nyka is a proven leader with a clear understanding of both the operational demands of our business and the evolving expectations of our customers,” said Phillip May, president and CEO of Entergy Louisiana. “Her forward-looking approach, combined with her ability to build strong partnerships and deliver meaningful improvements, makes her uniquely equipped to guide our customer service organization into its next phase. I’m confident she will continue strengthening reliability, enhancing the customer experience and supporting our commitment to the communities we serve.”
May added, “I also want to thank Michelle for her tremendous leadership and the positive impact she has made within our customer service organization. Her dedication to improving service and streamlining processes has created a strong foundation for future progress.”
In her current role with Entergy New Orleans, Scott oversees a team of 33 customer service and economic development professionals and manages two customer care centers serving more than 211,000 customers. She has played a key role in driving growth by identifying new opportunities, leading strategic initiatives and executing programs that support business expansion across the city.
Before joining Entergy in 2021, Scott served as Of Counsel with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, where she provided regulatory and public-policy guidance to clients. She also served as executive counsel to the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East, advising the board responsible for flood protection across Orleans Parish, St. Bernard Parish and the east bank of Jefferson Parish.
Scott remains active in the New Orleans community, currently serving as chair of the board of directors for the Arts Council of New Orleans and as a member of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. She earned her bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of New Orleans and her law degree from Loyola University.
Scott’s leadership, combined with the company’s continued investment in customer-focused improvements, will further strengthen Entergy Louisiana’s ability to deliver reliable service, support economic growth and meet the evolving needs of communities across the state.
