THIBODAUX, La. — Entergy Louisiana partnered with Catholic Charities Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux to support the Good Samaritan Food Bank’s Thanksgiving distribution, helping provide hundreds of local families with access to nutritious holiday meals. With Entergy Louisiana’s support, the organization purchased 165 turkeys and prepared more than 700 Thanksgiving food boxes for residents throughout the community.

Entergy Louisiana volunteers spent the day assembling boxes filled with traditional holiday staples, helping the Food Bank meet increased seasonal demand and continue its mission of offering meals and hope to families experiencing food insecurity.

“Supporting the communities we serve is central to our mission,” said Stacy Hebert, customer service manager for Entergy Louisiana. “We are honored to work alongside the Good Samaritan Food Bank to help ensure families in the Bayou Region can gather around a warm, comforting Thanksgiving meal. Partnerships like this are essential in strengthening the well-being and resilience of our communities.”

Food insecurity continues to impact thousands of households across Louisiana, particularly during the holidays when demand for food assistance rises. Organizations like the Good Samaritan Food Bank rely heavily on volunteers and community partners to support their year-round operations and seasonal distributions. Entergy Louisiana’s involvement helps expand the Food Bank’s reach and ensures more families have access to essential resources when they need them most.

Entergy’s commitment to addressing food insecurity aligns with the company’s broader mission to build stronger, healthier and more resilient communities.
