NEW ORLEANS, LA – Entergy New Orleans hosted its 2025 Annual Power to Care Golf Tournament at English Turn Golf & Country Club, bringing together employees, community members, and corporate partners for a day of friendly competition and philanthropy. Thirty-six teams teed off in an 18-hole scramble, raising more than $145,000 and receiving $8,000 in kind donations to support The Power to Care program, which provides emergency bill payment assistance to seniors and customers with disabilities in Orleans Parish.

“The Power to Care program ensures our customers have access to resources that make their bills more manageable,” said Deanna Rodriguez, president and CEO at Entergy New Orleans. “We are grateful to all of the sponsors and generous donors whose support enables us to provide critical assistance to our community’s most vulnerable residents.”

The day was filled with camaraderie, great food and community spirit. Participants were treated to refreshments from vendors such as Hooters and enjoyed local favorites from Messina’s, Chapter IV, and other local restaurants. JM Test Systems added an educational element to the day, offering on-site demonstrations and information about electrical safety testing systems. JM Test also brought a Hole-In-One golf cart signed by Jack Nicklaus.

This year, United Utility served as the presenting sponsor, while CLEAResult supported as both the Raffle and Kick-off Party sponsor, along with EnergyHub and ILSI Engineering.  One Source Restoration was our Golf Cart and Long Drive sponsor, and additional sponsors included Riverland Credit and Superior Traffic Control, along with a host of other local businesses that helped make the tournament a success

Funds raised through The Power to Care are distributed by the New Orleans Council on Aging to provide bill payment assistance to eligible customers. Entergy shareholders further amplify the impact by matching all contributions to The Power to Care program, up to $1 million annually.

Additional Customer Assistance Programs

For customers seeking help with their bills, Entergy offers a range of resources through its Bill Toolkit. The toolkit provides an overview of payment options—such as Level Billing and Pick-A-Date—along with information on customer assistance programs and ways to manage energy usage.

Customers can also save energy and money through the Energy Smart program, which offers incentives for installing energy-efficient upgrades such as LED bulbs, smart thermostats, AC tune-ups, duct sealing, and insulation. In addition, customers can schedule a free in-home energy assessment to identify opportunities to lower their energy use and costs.

Together, these initiatives reflect Entergy New Orleans’ ongoing commitment to powering life for all customers both on and off the course.
