LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Wynne Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with Entergy Arkansas, has announced the completed recertification of the 37.5-acre Wynne Highway 1 Select Site through Entergy Arkansas’s Select Site certification program.

“The timeline for responding to prospects has shortened significantly,” said Bevin Hunter, president and CEO of the Wynne Economic Development Corporation. “Completing the certification and recertification process ensures Wynne maintains a premium industrial property that’s ready for business. With the supporting data already in place, we can respond quickly to potential projects — keeping us ahead of the curve in a fast-paced, competitive market. The added marketing exposure that comes with certification gives our site an advantage few others in the state enjoy.”

Entergy Arkansas’s Select Site program helps communities assess and document the readiness of their industrial sites for new or expanding businesses. Every three years, sites undergo a recertification process to update information and maintain their status.

“Along with providing reliable, affordable power with some of the lowest rates in the country, Entergy Arkansas is committed to helping communities prepare for economic growth,” said Danny Games, Entergy Arkansas vice president of business and economic development. “Programs like Select Site demonstrate that readiness, showcasing the product, power, and people that make Arkansas an attractive destination for business.”

The Select Site program provides a rigorous, third-party review of a property’s suitability for industrial, manufacturing, and distribution projects. With today’s accelerated project timelines, having certified, shovel-ready sites is critical to securing new investment. Through Select Site and the Arkansas Site Selection Center, Entergy Arkansas is helping communities meet that challenge.
