Long commutes, extended school drop-off lines or congested traffic are some of the most common headaches you might experience getting to your job. But for our meter readers, their job to check your meter is different every day. Flooding, overgrown vegetation, deteriorating buildings and wary pets are just a few of the obstacles that can make their job unsafe. Entergy is building a smarter energy infrastructure by including devices to automate the distribution of power on the lines that feed millions of homes and businesses across its four-state service area. 

In its first comprehensive base rate case since 2008, Entergy New Orleans today filed a plan with the New Orleans City Council to establish a single, uniform rate structure for all Orleans Parish customers, while improving reliability, modernizing the grid and utilizing new technologies that will provide customers with innovative solutions and help them take greater control over their energy costs.
