Increasing energy usage during hot summer temperatures can lead to higher bills – burning up summer funds. Entergy Arkansas is sharing tips to help customers sunblock their utility budgets during the summer heat!

Entergy Arkansas customers who need help paying their summer utility bills can apply now for assistance through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

Months before COVID-19 reached the U.S., Entergy began taking steps to protect and prepare its workforce by activating the company’s pandemic response plan. By the time shutdowns began in March 2020, Entergy’s proactive approach kept employees and facilities safe while the company continued to serve customers. 

The company will donate matching funds for eligible families

Wayne Leonard, former chairman and chief executive officer of Entergy, is recognized as the center’s namesake for serving as a champion for underprivileged customers during his 14 years of leadership with the company before retiring in 2013. The center was established with the support of generous donors, including a $2 million contribution that was comprised of a personal gift of $1 million from Leonard and matched by Entergy. The Prosperity Center will expand its services to help low- to moderate-income individuals and families gain stability through services like financial education and coaching, free tax preparation, asset ownership programs and more.
