Sullivan Substation
Description: This project installed a 230 kV substation to serve the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board (SWBNO)’s power needs.
Cost: $34M
Status: Completed – July 2025
Benefits: This substation provides reliable electricity from the grid to the SWBNO which will help the plant and its pumping station increase resiliency during a major weather event.
Sherwood Forest 115 kV Breakers
Description: This project installed 115 kV breakers at the Sherwood Forest substation.
Cost: $1.3M
Status: Completed – May 2025
Benefits: These breakers enhance transmission reliability and reduce exposure to customers to a fault on the breaker line.
Entergy New Orleans Asset Renewable Program
Description: These projects are part of ongoing transmission asset management and address aging equipment such as structures, breakers, relay panels, RTUs, arresters, circuit switches etc.
Cost: Varies annually
Status: Completed by the end of each year
Benefits: This annual program maintains and improves reliability of Entergy New Orleans’ transmission assets.
