Entergy New Orleans’ commitment to proactive service

As part of Entergy New Orleans’ commitment to strengthening reliability and our relationship with our community, we recently conducted comprehensive walk-downs in each New Orleans council district. Led by teams of customer service managers, line workers, and representatives from the Energy Smart program, the walk-downs proactively addressed infrastructure needs across our service area.

Daylight saving time will end on Sunday, Nov. 3

As fall begins, many of us enjoy the chilly mornings and a pumpkin spice latte. As much as we look forward to the seasonal changes, there is one hallmark of fall that sparks as much competition as the most storied football rivalries: daylight saving time. Some people love daylight saving time. Others loathe it and consider moving to Arizona or Hawaii to avoid it.

Entergy sponsors scholarship event and presents Unsung Hero Award

Entergy sponsored the 2nd Annual New Orleans Association of Black Journalists Jazz Brunch and Silent Auction, supporting the organization’s scholarship fund. The event honored two local veteran journalists and awarded two scholarships named in their honor: the Nancy Parker Memorial Scholarship awarded to TaShia Hogue, and the William “Bill” Rousselle Memorial Scholarship awarded to Kennedy Wells. These scholarships will assist the recipients in furthering their education.

Entergy New Orleans and Urban League of LA partner to create clean energy jobs

Entergy New Orleans and the Urban League of Louisiana have partnered to launch a career training program that bridges the gap between job seekers in underrepresented populations and career opportunities in the clean energy sector. Entergy New Orleans recently presented Urban League of Louisiana with a $25,000 check to support the workforce development initiative.

Celebrating diversity and inclusion at New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity’s Pride Build

For the third consecutive year, Entergy served as the presenting sponsor of the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity’s 3rd Annual Pride Build. The event brought together local members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to construct a home for an inspiring family in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood. This project underscores Entergy’s unwavering commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and in our community.
