Entergy New Orleans preparing for colder temperatures

Colder temperatures have arrived, with even more frigid weather expected in the coming weeks and months. Even in places where extremely cold temperatures are not persistent, it’s still important to be prepared for freezing and inclement weather. As we know, cold snaps can happen without much warning.

Entergy New Orleans drives change

Electric vehicles (EVs) are revolutionizing transportation by reducing emissions, improving fuel efficiency, and lowering operational costs. Even when powered by electricity from fossil fuel-dominated grids, EVs produce significantly less pollution than gas-powered vehicles.

Entergy New Orleans powers sustainability

Entergy New Orleans is committed to providing our customers with reliable, safe, and consistent service, even during challenging times. With the recent approval of our Accelerated Resilience Plan, we are taking a big step towards hardening the electric grid and upgrading the city’s infrastructure to ensure lights stay on longer and power can be restored faster.

Powering the future

Every year, Entergy New Orleans celebrates Black Energy Awareness Month (B.E.A.M.)by honoring the invaluable contributions of minorities to the energy industry and highlighting the critical role energy plays in daily life. This year, we partnered with the Greater New Orleans Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) and other local organizations to bring the Power Circuit Tour to students at Lake Forest Charter School. The event sparked students’ curiosity in energy-related careers and offered them insights into the diverse pathways available within the energy sector.

Entergy New Orleans’ commitment to proactive service

As part of Entergy New Orleans’ commitment to strengthening reliability and our relationship with our community, we recently conducted comprehensive walk-downs in each New Orleans council district. Led by teams of customer service managers, line workers, and representatives from the Energy Smart program, the walk-downs proactively addressed infrastructure needs across our service area.

Daylight saving time will end on Sunday, Nov. 3

As fall begins, many of us enjoy the chilly mornings and a pumpkin spice latte. Some people love daylight saving time. Others loathe it and consider moving to Arizona or Hawaii to avoid it.
