With temperatures continuing to drop below freezing overnight, there is a threat of refreezing on untreated surfaces, which could hamper traveling until roads thaw.
Entergy Louisiana impacts and updates
As of 6:30 a.m., crews have safely restored power to approximately 76,480 customers, representing about 84% of those impacted at the peak of the storm. While this marks meaningful progress, it doesn’t tell the whole story. As power is restored, new outages continue to occur, primarily due to vegetation and limbs falling onto power lines as freezing temperatures persist.
Since the start of the storm, our teams have restored power approximately 90,000 times across north Louisiana. For many customers, service has been restored more than once as crews respond to repeated damage. In real terms, restoration has often meant two steps forward and one step back.

In the most heavily impacted and hard-to-access areas, crews continue to discover additional damage caused by fallen trees, adding to the already significant totals identified during initial assessments. These restorations are extremely labor- and time-intensive, often requiring specialized off-road equipment and the replacement of multiple poles and spans.
