Entergy January winter storm update – 1/26/2026, noon

Safety is our core value and always comes first. Then, restoring power is the top priority and first order of business. We assemble and organize the workforce needed to restore service safely and quickly to all customers.

Entergy January winter storm update – 1/26/2026, 7 a.m.

Where it is safe to do so, crews have begun restoring power to customers who lost service, but continued icy conditions may delay crews from safely getting to work. With temperatures dropping below freezing overnight, there is a threat of refreezing on untreated surfaces, which could hamper traveling until roads thaw. We continue to monitor the forecast and are prepared to respond as soon as we can safely do so.

Where possible, crews have begun restoring power to customers who lost service, but continued icy conditions may delay crews from safely getting to work. Entergy Louisiana and Entergy New Orleans continue to actively monitor the frigid temperatures and winter precipitation expected to move through the region this weekend. While forecasts are continually changing and the exact impact to the Louisiana service area is hard to predict, crews are prepared to respond to whatever Mother Nature delivers.
