Entergy Mississippi has successfully completed restoring power to all customers whose homes and businesses can safety take electricity following this week’s severe weather.
Entergy Mississippi crews, contractors, tree trimmers and scouts are working diligently to restore power after a severe weather system affected our service area Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning. As of 7 p.m., less than 15% of customers are still without power.
Although lower temperatures in the colder months can increase electricity use and energy costs, Entergy Mississippi is committed to helping customers stay warm and save money throughout the winter with bill management tools and resources. The company’s online Bill Toolkit connects customers with energy-efficiency tips and resources, as well as information about bill management and financial assistance options.

Entergy Mississippi crews continue to make steady progress, restoring service to about 86,140 customers, which is about 99% of the approximately 87,000 customers who lost service since the storm began affecting our service areas.

Entergy Mississippi workers are deep into the restoration process and are prepared for another round of winter weather on Saturday, including freezing temperatures with high winds. This new wave of cold and blustery weather could impact restoration.
Entergy Mississippi’s storm team continues working to restore power as freezing temperatures, ice accumulation and hazardous conditions continue to affect communities across the company’s service territory. We have assessess more than 77% of our service area and restored more than 50% of customers affected by the storm.
Entergy Mississippi crews are making progress assessing damage and restoring power to customers who were left without power after severe winter weather, including freezing rain and ice, entered the service area over the weekend. Road conditions, failing limbs, access, local temperatures and terrain are factors impacting crews as they work to restore power. As of Monday, Jan. 26, crews are expected to have damage assessments nearly complete by Thursday, Jan. 29.
