Entergy New Orleans’ leadership team today came before the New Orleans City Council to provide updates on three key priorities: ongoing reliability improvements in the North Kenilworth neighborhood of New Orleans East, the operation and maintenance of the underground electric system in the French Quarter, and the company’s preparedness for the 2026 hurricane season as Tropical Storm Bertha moves through the Gulf of Mexico.

Summer is often the most expensive operating season for commercial buildings. Higher temperatures, increased cooling demand and longer operating hours can drive energy costs while placing additional strain on building systems.

Meet Andrew Gautreaux, a project manager located at River Bend Station in Killona, Louisiana, who recently joined the data strategy and innovation team. 

Entergy New Orleans continues to make progress on reliability improvements in the Kenilworth area of New Orleans East. This work is focused on strengthening the underground electric system by replacing critical equipment that will help improve reliability and reduce the likelihood of future outages.
